आज वस्तुस्थिति भिन्न है कदाचित् पांचों अंगुलियां एक समान नहीं होती, किन्तु फिर भी आज बहुत-सी वर्जनाओं को तिलांजलि दे डाली गई है। अपने चारों तरफ़ देखें, फ़िल्में देखें, धारावाहिक देखें तो दृष्टिगोचर होता है कि आज की कई वर्जनाएं कल की मिथक बनने को तत्पर हैं?!
नारी का चार दीवारी से बाहर आना प्रशंसनीय है किन्तु यदि नारी कपड़ों से भी बाहर आने को आतुर होने लगे तो उसे निन्दनीय ही कहेंगे।
आज नारी तन, नारी मन, नारीपन में बदलाव आया है।

आज सब कुछ फटाफट का चलन है। लड़के-लड़कियां आम-तौर पर ही खुलेपन की चाहत करते हैं। साथ बतियाने, पढ़ने-खेलने तक तो ठीक लेकिन महानगरों में तो बिना ब्याह किए साथ रहने का चलन भी निकल पड़ा है।
